| Rain, severe thunderstorms, severe thunderstorms, rain, repeat. :::sigh::: All the blooms are off the dogwood and Azaleas. Limbs and trees are down. The creeks and rivers are flooding. And our intelligent road dept grated the roads during the one day of sun so now it's like an amusement park ride to drive, er slide, down the road. Never a dull moment. And just think, hurricane season starts in a couple of months. Mother Nature plays the ultimate April Fools joke! _________________ "Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning, Satan shudders & says...'Oh shit....she's awake!!"

| It's funny you mentioned that. Mom told me today that they grated the roads at her house this week too. They also dumped crush-and-run, so that will be fun with all the rain she's had. Up here the snow is melting, but the weather has been dismal. If it isn't rainy and cold, it's so windy you can't go out for fear of being blown away. I want to start on my garden, but until the weather clears up I'll be staying indoors. |

| Well...garden time is on hold for me..I'm so so so late! Haven't gotten the first seed planted or any plants in the ground yet! I'm not too worried since we have a long growing season..it's just I hate to be this late! I'm glad you guys liked the kitchen..I'll be putting in some of the last bit of paint today. The trim and some of the decorations will have to wait, far too much to do! We had a record rainfall on Thursday..rained and stormed like the dickens! WOW! Record rainfall mind you! I think we have a problem..in the walls. In our bedroom just as you go into the bathroom..you can smell this awful smell..smells like..(graphic) Rotting blood and decay smell that lingers right at the doorway. I do believe a rat or mouse family has gotten into the walls and been demised there. I certainly can't go into the 'walls' to retrieve it..what to do? Just wait till it dries up and live with the stench? WHAT?? Suggestions? I've cleaned, and washed, and it's still there..it's not 'IN" the house..it's hidden somewhere! Well I'm off to paint the last two walls..you all have a great day! _________________ May those who love us love us, and those who do not love us, may God turn their hearts, and if He cannot turn their hearts may He turn their ankles that we may know them by their limping.~Irish Prayerhttp://sagewoodfarm.blogspot.com/ |

| The only thing I can think to do is remove the walls and then hang new sheetrock. _________________ "Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning, Satan shudders & says...'Oh shit....she's awake!!"

| Apparently we have a live one in the kitchen. And it hasn't eaten the bait. I'm gonna fire my cats! _________________ "Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning, Satan shudders & says...'Oh shit....she's awake!!"

| FIRST ..LIGHTFOOT!! Are you crazy?? Hell no I'm not removing walls and replacing sheet rock..you have lost your ever lovin' mind! NO NO NO! Painting the kitchen by myself was enough..and trust me..I don't believe the hubby would get in on this deal either! (not that I haven't done sheet rock before..ask mandamae..she knows I can do it..but NAH!! I'll pass!) I figure it this way..it's dead already, I can smell that. With time, it will dry up and the smell will go away. That's the simple truth of it. I don't believe it's a mouse/rat either. I've smelled dead snake before..and this is VERY VERY VERY much like that..so that is what I truly believe it is..dead snake! Maybe it's good luck? _________________ May those who love us love us, and those who do not love us, may God turn their hearts, and if He cannot turn their hearts may He turn their ankles that we may know them by their limping.~Irish Prayerhttp://sagewoodfarm.blogspot.com/ |

| Snow? Wow, I think I'd cry if it snowed here again. I've been itching to get outside, but I can't because of the rain and wind. Well, Sage, I pity you and your smell. Dead snakes are putrid. Hopefully the stench will go away soon. I'm still battling mice here, though I think I'm winning. I haven't heard or seen any evidence of them lately. These field mice like to come inside at the first sign of bad weather ::sigh::. Hopefully they won't come back. |

| Hey we kicked butt hanging that sheet rock Synn.... I was there I remember LOL Lea yep. it snowed... its almost all gone again but... I think this circle of hell is just a super special place for the snow LOL Hope the mice stay at bay... we've got these huge ants that take over here. but I found what the previous owners left here to deal with them and I'll be giving that a shot this summer. Stupid ants... ggrrr. |

| Carpenter Ants? Forget it, call the exterminators... or get an industrial sized barell of aspartame. Either way, it's toxic. I just can't remember whether carpenter ants are the ones that like it wet or dry... |
