I just skimmed the article for right now, but I don't know why they'd want to end recreational fishing. Something tells me it's not the people who fish as a hobby that are messing things up. I'll have to take a closer look at the article when I have a bit more time.

Okay, so I just read the article more closely, and yeah, my previous statement still stands. It's commercial fishing, not individuals, that's having a negative impact on the ecosystem. I'm all for conservation, but there needs to be a balance. The little guy always seems to get hurt in these things.
