I actually dropped to a pound below about two days ago. It's not where I ultimately want to be, but it's only 16 lbs away! Yesterday, I changed my windshield wiper blades all on my lonesome. The toughest part was figuring out how to get the old ones off; I'm still not exactly sure how I managed it. Putting the new ones on was a snap, since I have the "J hook" wiper arms (didn't know that until yesterday). These blades are the spiffy Rain-X blades, so snow won't be an issue for me this winter . Niel swears by Rain-X products ... Last night I put on the second coat of paint, tore down the tape, and put my living room back in order. This was no small task, let me tell you! Here are some photos of our living room's journey: The hideous wallpaper on the left is what we started with. I stripped down the top layer and then lost my motivation, so the picture on the right is what we had for a long time. It didn't look bad in pictures, but the wallpaper backing was yellowing and not very ... I still have a lot to do to catch up on my scrapbooking entirely, but that part is done. It looks pretty good too, if I do say so myself. I tried to capture all the little funny tidbits, like us getting kicked off the free bus and accidentally walking into a gay bar. As of May 1st, my credit card will be paid off! That will be $450 less a month of our money that someone else will get to keep. I'm happy because it's just one more step to being a little more financially secure - something we really need now that we're getting an addition to the family. Also, as if that weren't enough, the bank recently sent us a refund check for $1400 because we had a surplus ...
