New job, new digs.

Yes Toto... I am in Kansas now.
Not a bad job. Matter of fact it has potential (depending on progress over the next year) to beone of my top 5 favorite jobs, and maybe even in the top two. Certainly hope so, 'cause I'm hoping to retire from this gig.

Right now, I'm not quite in the department I really want to be in... but I'm so close I can taste it.
Really hoping that the green living incentives are strong (not like those wimpy ones back in teh '70's) this go around, so I can finally roll up my sleeves and get my paws into the alternative energy line.

Took off about 6 months between Tulsa and here... Was feeling a little nervous with the economy like it is, but... having strong utility & infrastructure back ground I figured I have a better chance than a lot of folks.
But, then again, I've been in tight spots (economically) before. And I've been expecting these times for a looooong time.
We've had 35 years warning, if you look at it.

Actually, this is yet another contract job, but this time the contract-to-hire came from the company itself, rather than the usual BS that agencies give a person.

Just to remind the company, I keep putting my application in for their permanent positions.

Funny, I've got a couple in for Raliegh that sound really good...
